Grey plover with the rest of the shorebirds. |
The past 051016 I saw a nice little group of shorebirds in the West side island at Zolina reservoir.
It was a pleasant day with no wind and not to much sun (good viewing conditions).
In my initial possition I wasn't able to see them, but luckily one of them moved (a great plover) and it made me move to another position...then I discovered the rest of the group having a nap.
They were five great plovers, four dunlins and a grey plover.
This is till the moment the second observation of this bird this year, the other one, was in april and is always a nice one in this area. They appear now and then but almost always solitary individuals.
